The European Union insists on the creation in Ukraine of an independent judiciary.

Position on the establishment of an independent anti-corruption court in the European Union have not changed. This was stated by Executive Director of the NGO Transparency International Ukraine Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, informs Interfax-Ukraine.

“Hugues Mingarelli today made it clear: the European Union has not changed its position on the establishment of an independent, professional judicial institution, which aims to ensure the fight against corruption,” – said yurchishin.

The establishment of anti-corruption chambers in existing courts with acting judges is not a new quality, which is in Europe do not agree.

In turn, MP from the faction Block Petro Poroshenko Mustafa Nayem, who was also at the meeting with Mingarelli noted that the EU clearly understands the difference between the anti-corruption court and the chamber.

“At today’s meeting, Ambassador Mingarelli clearly gave to understand that the EU has not changed its position, clearly understands the difference between the anti-corruption court and by the house and advocated the creation of a separate, independent body with a clear and transparent procedure of recruitment of judges”, – said the MP.

Nye stressed that the establishment of the Anticorruption court (and not of the chamber) provides: a Memorandum with the IMF, signed by the Prime Ministers Volodymyr Groysman and the law of Ukraine on the judiciary, submitted and signed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

“In this situation, the bursting of the anti-corruption chamber and the misrepresentation of Jean-Claude Juncker look like outright cheating. I really hope that soon an end to this issue put Mr Juncker”, – Nayem wrote.
