Kiev will receive the next tranche of 600 million euros, subject to the implementation of obligations to the IMF.

EU ready to provide Ukraine the second tranche of financial assistance of 600 million Euro, subject to the fulfillment of obligations to the IMF on reforms. This was announced by the European Commissioner for enlargement and European neighbourhood policy Johannes Hahn, reports RIA Novosti.

“As for macro-financial assistance, we are ready to move forward, ready to provide the second tranche of macro-financial assistance in the amount of 600 million euros, but only if are fulfilled the conditions that are left,” said Khan.

He added that the European Commission welcomes the formation of a new government in Ukraine and expressed hope that it opens a new Chapter in the history of the country.

Khan noted that typically the government has a hundred days to implement, however, according to him, in this case, a new Cabinet must demonstrate a willingness to reform in the first months of work. He also added that it is important that Kyiv executed a cooperation program with the IMF.

Recall that the first tranche of 600 million euros in the third program macro-financial assistance to a total volume of € 1.8 billion, Ukraine received in July last year.

Earlier in the Cabinet of Ministers said that Ukraine hopes to complete negotiations on the revision of the Memorandum with the IMF and to receive a tranche of 1.7 billion dollars by the end of June.
