One hundred of the best young aviators from all over Ukraine will leave in July at the international Farnborough air show in Britain.

This outcome of the all-Ukrainian project “Aviator-2016”, which implements the charitable Foundation of Boris Kolesnikov aviation for students of technical specialties.

On April 22 in Kyiv National aviation University and Kharkiv National aerospace University. N. E. Zhukovsky “Khai” Fund representatives and members of the expert jury announced the winners of the project “pilot-2016”.

The awards ceremony was preceded by a final, sixth stage of competition – defence of motivational presentations. From 18 to 21 April the members of the jury headed by the legendary designer Dmitry Kiva listened to 200 finalists on the role of the aviation industry in their lives.

Sophia Mudrak, Director of the Foundation of Boris Kolesnikov, said that the objective of the Fund is to enable aviation students of technical specialties to Express themselves and demonstrate it to the industry experts for their achievements and accomplishments. “Three thousand members of “Aviator-2016″ we formed a team of a hundred winners: it includes the best young pilots, aircraft designers and managers. These talented guys will attend the Farnborough air show, where in contact with the real world of aviation, will see the latest achievements of world aviation industry giants. This will be a huge motivation in the future,” assured Sophia Mudrak.

The chief designer of SE “Antonov” and the head of the jury of the project “pilot-2016” Dmitry Kiva was pleased with the competition and noted that the winners are the future elite of Ukraine. “Such professionals are not afraid to entrust the aviation industry is to construct the plane or its pilot”, he added.

The winners celebrate their victory and proud of myself. “I’m happy to be in the hundreds of winners of the project. The fight was hard, and competition is high. In the finals I managed to surprise the jury with their achievements. I’m a future helicopter pilot and has already made 45 jumps. Not all guys can boast of such numbers, not to mention the girls. I live by the aviation, want to work in the industry, to develop it. Thanks to the Foundation of Boris Kolesnikov I get to Farnborough, the skills gained and knowledge will be applied for the benefit of the Ukrainian aircraft”, – shared his impressions the winner of the “Aviator-2016” Julia Slobodyanyuk.

We will remind, the charity project “the Aviator” was designed to support the students of aviation and technology sectors and to encourage the best of them travel to the International aviaforum Farnborough in the UK and Le Bourget in France. It is held by the charitable Foundation of Boris Kolesnikov for the fifth consecutive year.

The contest consists of six stages in which students demonstrate their knowledge, ingenuity and practical skills. This year to participate in the project registered 3 thousands of students from all over Ukraine. Came to the final 200 contestants.

The project is being conducted in nine universities and colleges of the country, but, according to the organizers, gradually “the Aviator” will cover all universities of Ukraine.
