Poroshenko told how much will be allocated for needs of army
Next year the army will receive more than 100 billion hryvnia, stated the President of Ukraine.
In 2019 the funding for the army will increase compared to the previous year by 16 billion hryvnia. On Friday, December 21, stated the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during a working trip to Zhytomyr oblast, reports the press service of the head of state.
The President noted that in accordance with the decision of the war Cabinet and of the Council of national security and defence approved the military component of the State budget for the year 2019.
“As expected by law, in the military budget finally spending solely on defense exceed 3% of GDP, but only on the sector of defence and security is planned to spend more than 5% of GDP. In the army the following year, allocated 102 billion hryvnia. 16 billion more than last year”, – said Poroshenko.
However, he added that this is due to macro stabilization as a result of cooperation with international financial organizations, in particular cooperation with the EU, the IMF and the world Bank.
Poroshenko added that in the near future APU will get new missiles Alder and Neptune.
“I have the money finally to purchase for the Armed forces of Ukraine in the future, these latest developments are missiles Alder, which passed a successful test, the missile Neptun, self-propelled artillery Bogdan, shock-intelligence complex, Falcon and much more,” – said the President.
The head of state noted that this is an incomplete list, but it is too early to report to the media.
Earlier Poroshenko announced that units of the Airborne assault troops in 2019 will receive new samples of weapons.
