The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirmed the information on detention of three citizens of Ukraine, which American law enforcement authorities suspect in the Commission of cybercrime. On Thursday, August 2, UKRINFORM reported citing the Deputy Director of the consular Department – head of consular security Vasily Kirilich.

He noted that the Ukrainians were detained in Europe.

“According to the U.S. Department of justice, in the European countries for the treatment of the American law enforcement authorities arrested three citizens of Ukraine, and each of them charged with the Commission of cybercrime. The Consul of Ukraine has established contact with the law enforcement officers of the United States. Employees of the us competent authorities confirmed the detention of citizens of Ukraine”, – said the Kirilich.

In addition, U.S. law enforcement provided information about and advocacy of one of the detained Ukrainians, he added.

Reuters reports that one of the three suspects, 33-year-old Fedor Glader, was extradited to Seattle from Dresden, where he was arrested. American law enforcement authorities said that they are trying to extradite two other detainees: 44-summer Dmitry Fedorov and 30-summer Andrey Kolpakov.

The U.S. justice Department suspected that three of the arrested Ukrainians were members of the cyber criminal groups FIN7.
