We will remind, in Poland’s district Prosecutor’s office in the city of Zamosc in the Lublin region opened an investigation in the case of the statements of the Chairman of the Ukrainian society Grigoriy Kupriyanovich, with whom he spoke during the commemorative events in Sagrini dedicated to the memory of Ukrainians killed during the actions of the Polish armed underground in 1944.
We are talking about the article of the Criminal code concerning public insults the Polish nation or the Republic of Poland, which is punishable by imprisonment up to three years.
Formal charges Grigoriy Kupriyanovich not yet filed.
The Prosecutor asked the Governor of Lublin przemysław, Carnac, who believes that the President of the Ukrainian society during his speech compared the situation in Sagrini 1944 with the events in Volyn in 1943 and, as he said, Carnac, “equalized 130 thousand victims of the genocide of several hundred civilian Ukrainians killed in Sagrini 10 March 1944”.
