Ukraine has until 19 February 2018 to provide to the international Tribunal a Memorandum.

Ukraine expects adoption by the International Tribunal at the Permanent court of Arbitration in the Hague final decision on the claim against Russia, in which she is accused of violating the sovereign rights of our state because of the seizure of the Crimea and the adjacent waters of the Black and Azov seas, over the next three to four years. About it reported in a press-service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine at the request of the UNIAN reports.

“The decision of the arbitration case is expected in 3-4 years, it is final and binding on the parties”, – said the Agency.

It is noted that one of the claims of Ukraine to Russia is to capture the Russian side deposits of mineral resources and oil and gas extraction on the continental shelf of Ukraine in the Black sea.

Also Russia will be brought against the usurpation of rights to fisheries management, illegal fishing and prevent the Ukrainian fishing companies to the Maritime areas adjacent to the Crimean Peninsula; the illegal blocking of the Ukrainian transit of ships through the Kerch Strait, the usurpation of rights of navigation; the construction of a pipeline, power line and bridge across the Kerch Strait without the consent of Ukraine; research of archaeological and historical objects on the bottom of the Black sea without the consent of Ukraine.

According to the foreign Ministry, the Ukrainian side has until 19 February 2018 to provide to the international Tribunal the Memorandum, which will contain a statement of all the circumstances relied upon by the position of our country and their legal basis.

In turn, the RF to 19 November 2018 will have to submit their counter-Memorandum, which will contain any objection on jurisdiction.

We will remind, on may 12 in the Hague began the organizational hearings on the suit of Ukraine on the violation by Russia of the Convention on the law of the sea.

During the meeting, the Tribunal held consultations with the parties on the procedural framework of the arbitration, including the calendar for oral and written statements.
