The Prosecutor’s office commented on the decision of the court of Appeal in ex-Minister.

The former Minister of justice Oleksandr Lavrynovych will be changed to suspicion in the case of the constitutional revolution in 2010. On Tuesday, November 21, said head of the Department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Serhiy Gorbatyuk during a briefing, Interfax-Ukraine.

“As for the suspicions of the former Minister of justice Lavrynovych. The investigation is currently nearing completion,” – said Gorbatyuk.

Commenting on the decision of the court of Appeal about cancellation of Lavrynovych of a measure of restraint in form of detention, he called it “interesting, to put it mildly”.

“We asked for clarifications in the court of Appeal, that they explained what it meant, because it contained unclear – they do not see the crime or do not see sufficient evidence,” – said the head of the Department.

However, he said that taking into account this observation, the court of Appeal by the Prosecutor’s office is changed a notice of suspicion Lavrynovych, which still must be approved by the leadership of the Prosecutor General, as ex-Minister of justice is the attorney’s position.

In turn, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Anzhela Strizhevskaya added that “it will be done in the Shortest possible time”.

According to her, the aim is to clarify suspicions Lavrynovych. Strizhevskaya also noted that in its decision the court of Appeal challenged the evidence.

“We are facing the fact that we need to clarify a suspicion in this direction work is carried out subject to the decision of the court of appeal,” said Strizhevskaya.

Recall, the Kyiv Appeal court upheld the complaint of the lawyer eks-the Minister of justice of Ukraine Oleksandr Lavrynovych and cancelled the decision of Pechersky district court of Kyiv to arrest him for 2 months.

Earlier it was reported that Lavrynovych and Yanukovych accused in the seizure of power by changing the Constitution.
