МВФ раскритиковал пенсионную реформу Украины

The shortcomings in the law on pension reform negate predpolagaemoj the modernization of the pension system. In IMF expect that Ukraine will fix it.

The international monetary Fund expects the amendments to the law on pension reform. This was stated press Secretary of the Fund Jerry rice during a traditional briefing in Washington on Thursday, 18 January, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, the adopted law on pension reform has certain disadvantages.

“The law on pension reform includes several important provisions that are necessary for modernization of the pension system. However, there are certain flaws that negate the expected (law – Ed.) encouraging people who have worked a longer period and has made large contributions to the pension system,” rice said.

“It makes the pension system unsustainable, and we believe that we need to work to address those flaws,” he explained.

As you know, October 3, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in second reading a bill on pension reform.

The document, in particular, provides for the modernization of pensions and increasing the minimum insurance period for retirement from 15 to 25 years from 1 January 2018.

Rice also criticized the bill on the anti-corruption court. As previously stated, the IMF, some provisions of the bill contradict the obligations of Ukraine under the EFF program and the recommendations of the Venice Commission.

We will remind, in Ukraine came into force new rules of retirement.
