The IMF forecasts the dollar to UAH 28.65 next year

Next year the Ukrainian currency devalues by 5.89% to 28,655 hryvnia per dollar, according to Fund analysts.

The international monetary Fund suggests a decrease of the average hryvnia exchange rate to 28,655 per dollar in 2019. This is stated in the October review of the world economy Fund, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

In particular, the Fund forecasts growth of nominal gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in 2018 14.7% to 3421,349 billion in 2019 – by 11.33% to 3809,113 billion and in 2020 – by 11.42% to 4244,042 billion. Thus in dollar terms, Ukraine’s nominal GDP is estimated in $126,39 billion in 2018, $132,928 billion by end of 2019 and $141,824 billion by end 2020.

Thus, the Fund assumes that the average annual hryvnia exchange rate in 2018 will be for 27, 07 UAH/$1 in 2019 devalue by 5.89% to 28,655, UAH/$1, and in 2020 – even by 4.43 percent to 29,925 UAH/$1.

According to the National Bank average exchange rate of the hryvnia since the beginning of this year is 26,99 UAH/$1. In the September purchase rate of hryvnia rose by 54 cents, and sales for 56 cents.

Note, the Cabinet laid in the draft budget for the 2019 dollar exchange rate at 29.4 hryvnia.
