The IMF Board of Directors will consider the next tranche in July.

The IMF mission reached agreement on the expert level with representatives of the authorities of Ukraine on a loan program. This is stated in the press release of the IMF.

“These arrangements must be approved by the IMF management and Executive Board of Directors of the Fund”, – said the head of mission Ron van Ore.

According to him, being in difficult circumstances, Ukraine for the last year has made significant progress in restoring economic stability.

“Strict implementation of structural and institutional reforms at the present time is critically important to transform the recent recovery in the stable and substantial growth, and unbending determination in the fight against corruption is a “litmus test” the government’s ability to maintain a broad domestic and international support for their policies,” he said.

Therefore, the Ore added, it is important “to the authorities strengthen their efforts to consolidate fiscal and financial stability, determined to increase transparency and ensure the rule of law and for reforming the large and inefficient public sector enterprises. The implementation of decisive measures in these areas will pave the way for pronouncement of the results viewing on the Board of Executive Directors of the IMF, which is expected in July 2016.

Note that the IMF mission worked in Ukraine from 10 to 18 may. Its key task is to discuss and finalize the Second revision of the program of reforms, approved in March 2015.
