The IMF has responded to the resignation of Finance Minister danyluk
The International monetary Fund reported that Alexander danyluk was a staunch advocate of reform.
In the conditions of the resignation of Finance Minister Alexander danyluk, the IMF stressed the importance for Ukraine to preserve the leading role of Finance in shaping fiscal policy. On Thursday, June 7, at a briefing in Washington, said the Director of the press office of the Fund Jerry rice, writes UKRINFORM.
According to him, the IMF is concerned about the possible changes in the institutional role of the Ministry of Finance.
“We do not comment on personnel issues relating to individual personalities, but we are concerned about possible changes to the institutional role of the Ministry of Finance,” said rice.
He stressed that the Ministry of Finance should maintain its leading and decisive role in shaping fiscal policy.
Rice also said that Danilyuk as Finance Minister was directly involved in negotiations with the International monetary Fund was “a staunch advocate of reform.”
We will remind, on 7 June, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the proposal of the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman about the dismissal of Alexander Danilyuk from the post of Minister of Finance of Ukraine.
