The IMF will give money to Kiev, regardless of martial law

The Fund has no formal legal prohibitions that prevent cooperation in conditions of martial law.

The introduction of martial law will not affect the cooperation of the International monetary Fund, Ukraine. On Monday, November 26, reported Ukrainian news, citing the press service of the Kyiv office of the IMF.

“The IMF has no formal legal prohibitions that prevent the continuation of cooperation in conditions of martial law”, – stated in the message.

The IMF noted that the Fund has already collaborated with a number of countries in which the unfolding military conflicts of different activity.

For the Fund it is important that the country had a reform plan to the government’s actions contributed to its implementation.

Note that the introduction of martial law by the Ukrainian Parliament will consider at 16:00. On the eve of its introduction was approved by the Board of the national security Council and President Petro Poroshenko.
