Forecast average annual inflation in 2018 deteriorated by 4 percentage points to 11%. In 2019, the IMF expects average annual inflation in Ukraine at the level of 8%.

The international monetary Fund (IMF) has lowered its growth forecast for the gross domestic product of Ukraine for the next year from 4% to 3.3%. This was reported in the published overview of the world economy (World Economic Outlook) on Tuesday, April 17.

At the same time, the forecast of growth of economy of Ukraine for the current year maintained at the level of 3.2%.

Forecast average annual inflation in 2018 deteriorated by 4 percentage points (PP) – up to 11%. In 2019, the IMF expects average annual inflation in Ukraine at the level of 8%.

The Fund also downgraded the assessment of the current account deficit of the balance of payments in 2018, to 3.7% from 3% of GDP in 2019 – up to 3.5% from 3% of GDP.

Earlier, the world Bank left unchanged the growth forecast for the economy of Ukraine in 2018-2019, at 3.5% and 4% respectively.
