The lifting of the ban of the Mejlis in the Crimea by the Supreme court of the Russian Federation is unlikely, – Dzhemilev

Отмена запрета Меджлиса в Крыму Верховным судом РФ маловероятна, - Джемилев

The lifting of the ban of the Mejlis in the Crimea by the Supreme court of the Russian Federation is unlikely. This opinion in comments to the TV channel “112 Ukraine” stated the representative of the President of Ukraine on the Crimean Tatar people, MP of the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko” Mustafa Dzhemilev.

Cemil sure that the structure of Crimean – Prosecutor’s office or the state Council – are puppets, who receive orders from Moscow.

“So, once it’s instructed to close the Majlis, to some, the court has revised it, I think it is excluded. But it is not excluded, for example, if the pressure of the international community will be so strong, and we need to cancel, then of course, they use this mechanism, I would say that in the structural or appeal they have reviewed and came to the conclusion that this could be. But that is unlikely,” – said Dzhemilev.

We will remind, on April 26, the Supreme court of the annexed Crimea recognized public Association of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis an extremist organization and banned its activities in Russia. The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov is sure that the international community, including the UN, in the near future will react to ban the activities of Mejlis in Russia-annexed Crimea.
