Military Prosecutor of the Central region of Ukraine has filed a lawsuit against the contractors who caused damage to the state at 15.8 million hryvnia.

Military Prosecutor of the Central region of Ukraine has filed a lawsuit against the contractors who caused damage to the state at 15.8 million UAH in the construction of barracks in Novohrad-Volynskyi and Konotop. On Tuesday, November 13, the press service of the military Prosecutor of the Central region of Ukraine.

According to authorities, the subject of claims is the recovery of unused funds for advance payment and penalties under contracts concerning the construction of barracks in the city of Novograd-Volynsky of Zhytomyr oblast and the city of Konotop of Sumy region, totaling 14.5 million UAH.

As noted, pursuant to the terms of the contracts of the Northern territorial kvartirno-operational management (KEU) as advance payment transferred to the General budget funds totaling UAH 23.2 million. At the same time, individual contractors 4 contracts concerning the construction of barracks work began and used the money at their discretion, than caused damage to the state for the sum of 15,8 million UAH.

In addition, the military Prosecutor’s office of Vinnytsia garrison found out that officials of the southern territorial KEU announced the winner of the auction of the General contractor which quotation of 2.7 million UAH higher than prices that were offered by other bidders.

On this fact the military Prosecutor’s office registered criminal proceedings. Currently pre-trial investigation.

As reported in warehouses in the Zhytomyr region were found stolen military property.

Also informed the military Prosecutor’s office began to investigate the misappropriation of 7 million UAH in the construction of fortifications in the Donetsk region.
