The Ministry of foreign Affairs the OSCE has sent a letter of invitation as observers with the exception of the Russians

Applications from OSCE observers from Russia at the time of the presidential elections in Ukraine will not be considered.

Ukraine was invited to the presidential elections observers from the OSCE, however, applications from Russian citizens will not consider. On Wednesday, January 9, Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin on his page on Facebook.

“A few days ago, as expected, sent a letter to the Director of the Bureau for democratic institutions and human rights OSCE Ingiborg, Solrun Gisladottir with an invitation to send an observation mission for the presidential elections in Ukraine. Among other pretty standard things, I noticed that the foreign Ministry of Ukraine will not accept applications for the registration of Russian observers,” – wrote Klimkin.

However, he noted that many such precedents in the practice of the organization.

“I believe this is necessary when it comes to observers of the aggressor and occupier. By the way, many such precedents in the practice of the OSCE,” – said Klimkin.

Earlier it became known that the CEC of Ukraine has closed polling stations in Russia.

Also, the Central election Commission of Ukraine announced the termination of cooperation with CEC of Russia because of the entry into force of the law termination of the Treaty of friendship between the two countries.
