The largest debt payments in September did not affect the currency market, the hryvnia is affected by other factors, told resin.

Payments on state debt of Ukraine in early September did not affect the exchange rate. On Thursday, September 5, said the head of the National Bank Yakov Smoliy.

He recalled that this week, the NBU redeemed the remnants of debt to the IMF under the program of 2014, and the Finance Ministry’s debt on Eurobonds and interest.

“These payments were allocated to our macroeconomic forecasts and absolutely no impact on the currency market. It was all provided for in the schedule of debt servicing”, – said the head of the NBU.

He also said the reasons for the strengthening of the hryvnia to the dollar in 2019.

As noted Smoliy, the course was influenced by favorable price conditions in global commodity markets, high grain yield, a further increase in exports of it services.

In addition, the strengthening of the hryvnia impact the growth of investor confidence in the Ukrainian economy and simplification of their access to the market for domestic government securities.

According to the NBU, since the beginning of year the hryvnia to the us dollar by 9%, but fell slightly in August.
