Alexander Peresunko – one caught doping athletes

Because of the large number caught doping athletes, Ukraine and other countries will be punished.

The national team of Ukraine in weightlifting because of the anti-doping rule violations will be represented by four athletes at the Olympic games in Tokyo 2020, reports Reuters.

The international weightlifting Federation (IWF) has developed a new rule, which will set the amount of quota for countries with numerous doping violations.

Under the rule, any country with 20 or more doping violations from 2008 to 2020 could send to the Olympics one man and one woman. It concerns the national teams of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Belarus at the Olympic Games in 2020.

Countries with 10-19 doping violations during the same period, including Ukraine, will be allowed to send in Game two men and two women.

It is noted that in case of detection of another doping violations IWF can prevent lifters of any country to speak at the Games in Tokyo.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian weightlifter caught doping.
