The NBU increased the limit on dividends abroad

This is the second increase of the limit from the beginning of the year. In the future it will be completely abolished.

The national Bank of Ukraine once again loosened restrictions on foreign exchange market for business, raising the limit on the repatriation of dividends to 12 million euros per month. The corresponding decree comes into force on Wednesday, may 8, the press service of the NBU.

As you know, until today, the limit was seven million euros.

According to estimates by the regulator, such liberalization will not be critical to preserve macro-financial stability in Ukraine, but will improve the investment climate in the country.

The NBU noted that this is the second increase in the limit on the dividends since the beginning of the year, after rising to 7 million euros in February, and the new limit meets the needs of all operating companies in Ukraine with foreign investments.

Also reported that in the future the regulator plans the complete abolition of this restriction and other monetary relief, depending on the rate of improvement in macroeconomic situation and market conditions.

We will remind, on February 7 in Ukraine came into force the law on currency. In accordance with it the Bank ceases to control foreign exchange transactions for the sum less than 150 thousand hryvnia.

And from March 1 the national Bank has reduced the rate of mandatory sale of foreign currency by exporters to 30% from 50%.
