The monetary base increased by 0.3%

Money supply in August rose 0.3% from 1 228,6 billion on 1 August to 1 233,2 billion on 1 September.

In August the monetary base increased by 0.3% from 420,598 billion hryvnia as at 1 August until 421,886 billion on 1 September. This was announced by the national Bank, write Ukrainian news on Wednesday, September 12.

Since the beginning of year the monetary base grew by 5.7% 399,1 billion.

Money supply in August rose 0.3% from 1 228,6 billion on 1 August to 1 233,2 billion on September 1 with the beginning of the year the monetary base increased by 2% from 1 208,859 billion.

The volume of cash in circulation, according to the operative data of the NBU, in August decreased by 0.6% 346.4 billion UAH on 1 August to 344,169 billion on 1 September, and the beginning of the year increased by 3.5% with 332,546 billion.

Recall that the money supply in Ukraine in June rose 1% to $ 1 trillion 209,84 billion.

It was also reported that the NBU is preparing to launch in the cash turnover of Ukraine 20 hryvnia banknote of the new sample.
