The regulator accepts competitive bids from market participants until 11:00. During the previous auction, the NBU could not satisfy all applications.

The national Bank of Ukraine on Tuesday announced the auction for the sale of up to $100 million this was reported on the website of the Central Bank on Tuesday, August 14.

The regulator notes that competitive bids will be accepted until 11:00.

During the previous auction, on 3 August, the NBU granted 18 applications amounting to $50 million in Total, the auction volume to $50 million was filed 41 applications for a total of $75.5 million at the rate of 27.04 from UAH/$1 to UAH 27,095/$1. The average rate on the auction amounted to 27,0886 UAH/$1.

Last week it became known that Ukraine’s international reserves fell by $230 million, the NBU explained that the payments on the public debt and interventions on the interbank market.

Managing partner of investment company Capital Times, the financier Eric Naiman believes that the ultimate objective of the NBU is the national currency on the level of 30-32 per dollar.
