The new Ukrainian low-cost airline SkyUp received the air operator certificate giving the right to perform flights. On Thursday, may 17, writes avianews with reference to the press service of the company.

Flights the airline will begin to run roughly next week. In the first stage SkyUp will use two 189-seater Boeing 737-800 2013 release, which previously flew to Malaysia Airlines. Now these Airliners are repainting in Bratislava and Istanbul. It already has the Ukrainian registration number UR-and UR SQA-SQB. Later, the company will join the fleet of 149-seater Boeing 737-700.

In the first stage SkyUp will perform international Charter flights for tour operator Join UP, the owners of which are the ultimate beneficiaries of the new carrier.

Later, the company will commence domestic flights on the route Kiev-Odessa and Odessa-Kharkov, to be implemented at low-cost concept.

Earlier it was reported that the national airline in the segment of cheap airline SkyUp will begin work in April 2018.
