Denisov did not disclose the details of new talks on exchange of prisoners

Another exchange of prisoners between Moscow and Kiev could take place before the end of the year, admits Denisov.

Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova, the TV channel 1+1 on the morning of Tuesday, September 10, gave the details of the exchange of detained persons between Ukraine and Russia, which took place on 7 September.

“They are free citizens on the territory of Ukraine. We have three such positions: ten political prisoners had a petition for pardon, they were pardoned by the Russian President, one is Mr Bekirov – he was released on personal recognizance, and 24 sailors had been released under the personal obligation of mine, as someone who is trustworthy, according to article 103 of the criminal procedure code of the Russian Federation”, – said Denisov.

Speaking about the preliminary investigation in Russia against the Ukrainian sailors, Denisov said that it is continuing, and now the lawyers familiar with the case. “Because according to the decision of the International sea Tribunal article 119 provides that the court does not consider it necessary to demand from Russia to stop criminal proceedings against 24 of the detained Ukrainian sailors,” – said the Ombudsman.

Denisov also admitted that another exchange of prisoners between Moscow and Kiev could take place before the end of 2019.

“At the moment the verified 113 political prisoners are Ukrainians, 89 Crimean Tatars”, – she said.

Earlier, Denisov said that the government will buy apartments released Oleg Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko, Vladimir Baluku and Arthur Panov.
