The rate for membership in the EU supports more of the respondents than on joining NATO.

More than half of Ukrainians support the inclusion in the Constitution of the desire to become a full member of the EU, and slightly less than half support the consolidation of aspiration to join NATO. This is evidenced by the survey conducted by the Social monitoring center and Ukrainian Institute for social research. A. Yaremenko.

According to the results of sociological research, presented in Kiev on Thursday, 20 September, 34% of respondents said that they support the inclusion in the Constitution the aspirations to become an EU member, 24% – more support, 16% rather not support it, 19% don’t support and 7% were undecided on the issue.

In addition, 25% of respondents said that they support the inclusion in the Constitution’s aspirations to join NATO, 20% – more support, 17% – rather do not support, and 28% not supporting and 10% undecided on the question.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, the survey was conducted by personal interview from 11 to 18 September 2018. In the study, were interviewed 2007 respondents aged 18 years to 24 regions of the country.

Earlier today, the deputies sent to the constitutional court the presidential bill on amendments to the Constitution regarding the fixing of the course of Ukraine to join NATO and the EU.
