The opposition bloc offers next year to halve tariffs on utility services to save on subsidies. This was stated by the leader of the party Yuriy Boyko during a meeting of the conciliatory Council of the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday, 2 October.

The proposal, according to Boyko, contained in the alternative Budget, which was developed and sent to the Budget Committee of his faction.

“First, we have to consider the extra costs due to real inflation, which will be next year. Second, we propose to reduce the utility tariffs in half, which would release RS 28 billion of subsidies that will have to be paid at constant rates. The third is the reduction of the funding security and law-enforcement bodies by 40% from today’s level. I do not take the army, I take other law enforcement agencies”, – he said.

Earlier, Boyko criticized the budget-2018 for the planned increase in spending on the security forces.
