The organization for security and cooperation in Europe renewed the mandate of the observer mission at the Russian checkpoints Gukovo and Donetsk. About it reports a press-service of the OSCE on Thursday, October 19.

“In accordance with the action taken today by the Permanent Council of the OSCE 57 States parties agreed to extend the mandate of the OSCE observer Mission at the Russian checkpoints Gukovo and Donetsk by three months, until 31 January 2018”, – stated in the message.

As noted, the mandate of the OSCE mission, consisting of 22 employees, is unchanged.

“Acting in accordance with the principles of impartiality and transparency, observers will monitor and report the situation to the two Russian checkpoints, as well as on the movements across the border,” – added in the organization.

Note, the mission is on the ground on 29 July 2014.
