OSCE observers have recorded more than 200 explosions in the Donbas over the weekend.

Special monitoring mission of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe recorded more than 200 explosions in Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the weekend. This was reported in the final report of the mission published on the OSCE website.

“In the period from the evening of 21 July until the evening of 22 July, the Special monitoring mission documented the decrease in the number of violations of the ceasefire regime in the Donetsk region, in particular, a similar number of explosions (about 75), when compared with the previous reporting period (about 70 explosions). In the period from the evening of 22 July to the evening of 23 July, the mission documented the increase in ceasefire violations, but a similar number of explosions (70)”, – stated in the message.

At the same time in the same period, the OSCE mission has documented an increase in the number of violations of the ceasefire in the Luhansk region.

“It’s all controlled by the government of Ukraine Popasnaya (69 km on West from Lugansk), including more explosions (about 70), when compared with the previous reporting period (17 bombings),” said observers.

We will remind, according to the OSCE, since the beginning of the year in the Donbass, 59 civilians were killed and more than 260 injured, which is 50% more than the same period of 2016.
