The Prosecutor’s office asks the court to declare the former President guilty of treason.

In the case of treason of former President Viktor Yanukovych ended the debate, the prosecution asked to sentence him to 15 years imprisonment. This was during the reading of the speech in the Obolon district court of Kiev on Thursday, August 16, said the Prosecutor Maxim Crimea.

The Prosecutor in the case of Ruslan Kravchenko read it for 30 minutes. All this time the lawyer Yanukovych Vitaliy Serdyuk cheered the Prosecutor and stated the petition.

“Please recognize Yanukovych Victor Fedorovich guilty and to sentence him to 15 years in prison,” the Prosecutor said.

During the meeting, the lawyers called the police, claiming a violation of the rights of the defence.

In addition, the lawyers have blocked access to the courtroom a free lawyer appointed by the court, from-for what between them and the court security scuffle.

The court granted the lawyers of Yanukovych a month to prepare for the court debates and adjourned the trial until 13 and 14 September.

As you know, Yanukovych was charged with article 111 (high treason), article 27, part 2 of article 437 (aiding in waging aggressive war); article 27, part 3 of article 110 (aiding and abetting in the violation of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine that resulted in the death of people or other heavy consequences) the Criminal code of Ukraine.
