The Russian military in Crimea

Generals Bulgakov and Pankov, Vice-Admiral Fedotenkov took part in the seizure of Crimea.

The main military Prosecutor’s office completed the investigation and sent for consideration to the court indictments against several high-ranking officials of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation for infringement of territorial integrity of Ukraine.

In particular, we are talking about the Deputy Minister of defence of Russia, army General Dmitry Bulgakov, state Secretary – Deputy defense Minister army General Nikolai Pankow and Deputy Commander of the naval fleet Vice-Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov.

They are accused of committing criminal offenses under part 5 article 27, part 3 of article 110; part 4 of article 27 of part 1 of article 111; part 5 article 27, part 2 of the CC. 28 part 2 of article 437 of the criminal code of Ukraine, noted in GPU.

According to the Supervisory authority indicated the Russian military in February-March 2014 in Crimea has made deliberate actions to change the boundaries of the territory and the state border of Ukraine. They were induced by threats and bribing soldiers of the Navy Command of the APU to the Commission of high treason, were accomplices to waging an aggressive war against Ukraine, but also facilitated the unhindered invasion of Russian troops for the occupation of the Peninsula.

“The indictments against these individuals forwarded to the court for the implementation of special trial. Each of them wanted, the court granted permission for their detention and delivery in court for the decision of a question on application of measures of restraint in form of detention,” – said the Prosecutor’s office.
