The Russian President will take part in the opening of the monument to Emperor Alessandro III.

The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on Saturday, November 18, arrived in the Crimea. About it reports a press-service of the Kremlin.

According to the report, the Russian President will take part in the opening ceremony of the monument to Russian Tsar Alexander III.

“After the opening ceremony, the President briefly spoke with local residents and young people”, – have informed in a press-service.

It is noted that the monument donated by the Union of artists of Russia. The author of the composition – the sculptor, the head of the Union of artists, national artist of Russia Andrei Kovalchuk. The monument is made of bronze on one of the Ural factories. The Emperor is shown seated on a log of wood in uniform and leaning on a sword; behind him is a horizontal relief stele, crowned double-headed eagle.

We will remind, the inhabitant of Astrakhan has forged sculpture of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the image of a winged bear with a sturgeon in his paws.

As reported, in August Ukraine’s foreign Ministry handed a note of protest to the Russian foreign Ministry concerning the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sevastopol.
