SBU warns Ukrainians about the risk of cyber attacks

Ukrainians are advised to update anti-virus software and keep important information.

In Ukraine are preparing a new large-scale cyber attacks on government agencies and private companies. This was reported on the official website of the SBU.

“The main goal is to disrupt regular functioning of the information systems, which can destabilize the situation in the country”, – stated in the message.

SBU became known that the attack can be performed using updates, including publicly available application software, and the mechanism of its implementation will be similar to the cyber attack, conducted in June.

“To prevent unauthorized blocking of information systems must adhere to the following recommendations: update signature of antivirus software on servers and workstations; implement redundancy of information processed on computer equipment; to provide a daily update of the system software, including Windows OS without exception, all the versions” – suggest to the SBU.
