The Swiss court rejected Russia’s participation in the Paralympics in 2016

The Swiss Federal Supreme court dismissed the appeal of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RCC) on the non-admission of Russian athletes for the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro. Obetom according to a press release of the court, reports “RIA Novosti”.

In its appeal, RCC requested to suspend the decision of the court of arbitration for Sport, which would allow the Russians to play at the Paralympics.

In addition, the Swiss court noted that ASM cannot request an individual permit for Russian athletes since the Paralympic athletes ‘ are not direct participants of the proceedings.”
