The world Bank has estimated the ratio of assets of the richest citizens of Ukraine, and the total size of GDP.

By the end of 2017 the total net value of the assets of the three richest individuals in Ukraine exceeded 6% of GDP. This was stated by Vice-President of the world Bank, which deals with Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller during the presentation of world Bank study on economic development of Ukraine, reports Ukrainska Pravda Wednesday, February 6.

“This is almost twice more than in Russia and three times more than in Poland. The ratio of the income share of the richest people in GDP is almost unchanged since 2007. This has resulted in limited access to economic opportunities, is able to fully unlock the potential of human capital”, – stated in the message.

“If you look at the United States – a figure of 1.4% of GDP. Very difficult to reform, when there are powerful pressure groups,” added Mueller.

Earlier the world Bank said that at the current rate of economic growth of Ukraine to reach the income level in Poland may take up to 50 years, and to reach the level of Germany – 100 years.

The world Bank believes that a sustainable approach in the implementation of reforms and promised to support.
