The export of Ukrainian goods increased

In January-August 2018 Ukrainian imports was 16.1% higher than a year earlier. The negative balance rose to five billion dollars.

The external trade turnover of Ukraine in January-August this year amounted to 66,8 billion. On Tuesday, October 16, the press center of the State statistics service.

In particular, it noted that in January-August the export of goods was $ 30.9 billion, which is 12.4% more compared to the same period of 2017.

“In January-August import increased by 35.9 billion, which is 16.1% more than the year before. The negative balance amounted to five billion dollars (in January-August of 2017 as a negative – $ 3.4 billion)”, – according to data of the state statistics.

 

 

The Ministry also added that the coverage ratio of import export amounted to 0.86 (in Jan-Aug 2017 – 0,89).

Earlier it was reported that the export of Ukrainian goods in the first seven months of 2018 grew by 12.7% compared to the same period of 2017 and amounted to 26.9 billion dollars.

Also the balance of payments of Ukraine in August 2018, was drawn with a surplus of 27 million dollars.
