Russian tourists in Turkey will be able to pay off the national currency of the Russian Federation. This was during the Russian-Turkish media forum in Antalya, said Turkey’s economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci, “Interfax-Russia”.

“The Russians have to pay in Turkey rubles”, – he said.

According to officials, the tourist flow from Russia to Turkey by July of this year fell by 70-80%, and now its level must be restored and exceeded. This, in particular, should promote the possibility of use in calculations between the countries national currency.

Speaking about the safety of tourists in the country, the Minister stressed that in this direction is the joint work with Russian experts.

In turn, the mayor of Antalya Mendez Tyrell noted that the region is 66% of the total tourist arrivals to the country, and the Russians in it the vast majority. The Governor of Antalya Munir Karaloglu added that every year the region was visited by 3 million Russians, thousands have purchased property here. He expressed confidence that this figure will even increase.
