The growth of Ukraine’s economy accelerated for the third consecutive quarter

Compared to the previous quarter the economy added 0.9 percent. Ukraine’s GDP grows tenth consecutive quarter.

In the second quarter of 2018, the growth in gross domestic product (GDP) in Ukraine was 3.6%, whereas in the first quarter growth rate was lower at 3,1%. Such a rapid assessment was published by the State statistics service on Tuesday, August 14.

“Real GDP in the II quarter of 2018 compared to the previous quarter (adjusted for seasonal factors) increased by 0.9%, while compared to II quarter of 2017 GNode 3.6%”, – stated in the message.

According to the schedule, Ukraine’s GDP in annual terms, increasing for the tenth consecutive quarter, with growth accelerating for the third consecutive quarter.

Data of the state statistics the growth of the economy in the second quarter in annual terms exceed released at the end of July of the assessment of the National Bank on the growth of 3.2%.

Overall, the NBU is hoping that the growth of Ukraine’s economy this year will amount to 3-3,5%.
