Regular visits by Russian officials of Crimea is a gross violation by the Russian side of the state sovereignty of Ukraine, said the foreign Ministry.

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed strong protest in connection with the visit of the delegation of the state Duma and members of the Russian government in Russian-annexed Crimea. This reports the press service of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine on Friday, March 15.

Ukrainian diplomats believe that this and other such “visits” are further steps in the attempt to legitimize the annexation of Crimea.

“It is devastating and irresponsible policies of Russian occupation authorities for five years has led to a significant aggravation of the economic, social, humanitarian and ecological problems on the Peninsula,” – said the Minister.

In Kiev noted that the next visit of the Russian officials of Crimea is a gross violation by the Russian side of the state sovereignty of Ukraine, international law, UN Charter, resolutions of the UN General Assembly.

“The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine once again declares that the responsibility for these and other internationally wrongful acts lies with the Russian Federation as the state-occupier in accordance with international law. The Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation sent a note of protest,” – said in a statement.

On the eve of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry has condemned arrival of the French deputies in Crimea on anniversary of annexation, calling their actions “as a direct pandering to the aggressor.”
