США не поддержат кандидата в президенты без плана по Донбассу - эксперт

The United States and Russia can make progress in the Donbass against the backdrop of sanctions, experts say

Neither Russia nor the United States will not support a candidate who has no plan to end the war in Eastern Ukraine.

The United States will not support the presidential candidate of Ukraine, which does not have a script on the termination of the war in the Donbass, said the head of the Ukrainian Institute of strategies of global development and adaptations of Victor Levitsky.

“Given the humanitarian catastrophe with the displaced persons, war-related economic problems in Ukraine, corruption schemes around the line of demarcation, etc. it seems that the time has come progress in the situation with ORDO” – are the words of Levitsky in a press release WESGRO.

He believes that progress in Ukraine or otherwise desirable for Democrats and Republicans, will define the realities of the political process in Ukraine. “At least the world community in General and the US in particular is unlikely to support a candidate for President of Ukraine, which will not in the election program of the scenario of ending the war,” said Levitsky.

He noted that the problem around the Crimea and the Donbass deteriorated sharply in recent days, in connection with the expiration of the law on the special status of self-government in ORDO, which occurs in early autumn.

However, experts believe that the true reason for aggravation of the problem of uncontrolled territories of Donbass is in measuring American elections to the house of representatives of the U.S. Congress, which will take place in November.

“In light of the untwisted to the maximum turns of the threads of anti-Russian sanctions tangible concessions on the part of Russia in the Ukrainian question can be sufficient bonus for a successful political campaign, but none of the warring parties do not want to associate themselves with impossible promises”, – said the head VISGRA.

From this point of view, emphasizes Levitsky, the question of Crimea, which the Russian side flatly refuses to discuss it, hardly looks promising. Conversely, the question ORDO encouraging. On the one hand, the fact that the Donbass is Ukraine recognized de jure by all (including Russia), and de facto it looks like everything, except for Ukraine.

“It is highly indicative in this regard, the foreign Ministry of Poland to the accusations about the import of Polish coal from ORDA to import goods, they say, banned from the Crimea and Donbass – Ukraine is”, – said the expert.

We will remind, presidential election in Ukraine scheduled for the end of March next year.
