The fees will be 34,98-44,03%.

The US Commerce Department approved final antidumping duties on imports of carbon and alloy wire rod from Ukraine and South Africa. The decision was made on 9 January, according to UAprom.

Thus, the amount of the fee for production of the steel plant ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih and yenakiieve metallurgical plant will be 44,03%, and other manufacturers – 34,98%.

“The amount of the fee imposed on products AMKR and EMZ that is associated with the presence of aggravating circumstances due to the failure of plants from full cooperation in the process of anti-dumping investigation initiated in March of 2017”, – noted in the international trade Commission (ITC) in the U.S. Department of Commerce.

The fee for the production of South African producers Alliance (ArcelorMittal South Africa Limited, Scaw South Africa (Pty) Ltd. and Consolidated Wire Industries) has made 142,26%, while other companies of South Africa – 135,46%.

By 22 February, the ITC must agree on the final decision of the Department of Commerce, after which the Department will issue decisions on the imposition of duties, but not later than March 1.

Recall that in March 2017 American metallurgical companies initiated an antidumping investigation against imports of wire rod carbon and alloy steel from ten countries, including Ukraine.

Previously, Turkey demanded new duties on Ukrainian steel. Turkish producers are disappointed with low anti-dumping duties.
