The deputies voted for the deprivation of money for truancy

MPs will lose benefits associated with the implementation of parliamentary powers, in the case of missing more than a third of the meetings of the Parliament or half of the meetings of the Committee.

The Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday, October 16, adopted on second reading and in whole draft law №1035-2 on amendments to the law on status of people’s Deputy of Ukraine in terms of deprivation payments for absenteeism.

Voted 268 deputies, against – 4, abstained – 67, not voting – 67.

So, if the MP in the calendar month during one regular session of the Parliament without good reason do not take a direct part in more than one third of the plenary meetings or more than half of the meetings of the Committee, of which he is included, he will not be reimbursed the costs associated with the implementation of parliamentary powers.

Termination of compensation to the Deputy of such costs by the order of the head of the Parliament Committee’s decision, the competence of which includes issues of parliamentary ethics, which was adopted on the basis of registration with the electronic system of counting cards, and information on time tracking of people’s deputies, provided by the office of Rada.

Recall, September 12, the Rada voted in first reading for a bill which deputies will be deprived of pay for absence from work for more than a third of the plenary meetings of the Parliament or more than half of the meetings of the Committee.

And on the eve of the speaker of Parliament Dmitry Razumkov said for not attending sittings without good reason MPs should be deprived of the mandate.
