In the future five years, Ukraine and China plan to increase trade to $10 billion a year, said first Deputy Prime Minister.

Bilateral trade in goods between Ukraine and China in January-August 2018 rose by 21% compared to the same period of 2017 to reach $5.8 billion this was announced by first Vice Prime Minister – Minister of economic development and trade Stepan Kubiv on Monday, November 5th.

“China is Ukraine’s strategic partner and our trade volume is growing. For the first eight months of 2018 Ukrainian-Chinese bilateral trade in goods increased by 21% to approximately $5.8 billion,” Stepan Kubiv wrote on his page in Facebook.

He stressed that in the future five years, Ukraine and China are planning to increase this figure to $10 billion a year.

“It will continue to implement the action plan Ukraine-China initiative the Greater silk road and the Maritime silk road of XXI century”, the official added.

Note that the Ukrainian delegation headed Cubisim is in China on a working visit on November 5-8, to participate in the China international import exhibition (China International Import Expo 2018).

We will remind, in January-August 2018 year, Ukraine increased its exports of goods 12.4%, or $3.4 billion to $30.9 billion compared to the figures for analogichny period last year.
