The world Bank expects inflation in Ukraine at the level of 10% in 2017. On this day, 3 October, said economist of the world Bank in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Anastasia Golovach, transmit Ukrainian news.

According to her, the budget deficit this year could amount to 3.5% of GDP due to fiscal risks, and foreign direct investment this year will reach a maximum of 2% of GDP.

The world Bank considers it necessary to targeting the reduction of the budget deficit in 2018 to 2.5% of GDP and its further reduction.

However, as said world Bank Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova satu Kähkönen the world Bank expects Ukraine’s economy in 2017 will show a growth rate of 2%. On this day, October 3, UKRINFORM reported.

“We expect economic growth in 2017 at 2%,” said Kähkönen.

However, she added that this is not enough to reduce poverty in the country.

Kähkönen said that we need urgent reforms that will allow Ukraine to reach the economic growth of 4%.

Recall, September 21, the world Bank predicted Ukraine’s GDP growth in 2017 at 2%.

But the international rating Agency Fitch Ratings forecasts the growth of Ukraine’s real GDP in 2017-2018 2-3%.
