Two residents of Kharkiv region and a man from the Dnieper suspected that they altered the starting, signal and air guns in firearms and tried to smuggle him to Russia under the guise of auto parts. This was reported on the official website of the Prosecutor’s office Kharkiv region.

“Band members announced suspicion on the fact of illegal construction, alteration of firearms, illegal circulation of weapons and finished attempted smuggling committed by an organized group”, — stated in the message.

According to investigators, the group organized by 19-year-old resident of Kharkiv. Also it included 18-year-old native of the same city and 22-the summer inhabitant of the Dnieper.

As noted, clients for arms sales suspects sought in social networks.

The group was exposed in April 2017, when the SBU detained a courier attempting to smuggle 13 handguns processed in Russia. The courier was sure that it transports auto parts.
