Tomorrow in Poltava will be a meeting in the case of Kernes

The Kiev district court of Poltava on Monday, may 30, will be held the next hearing on the case of mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes.

According to “UNN”, tomorrow’s meeting will be to interview the staff of the restaurant “McDonald’s”, where, according to the victims, they attacked.

During the previous court session, which took place on 16 may, Kernes has promised to complain to the public Prosecutor Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko.

Kernes and his guards Vitaly Blinnikka and Eugene Smitkova accused of kidnapping, torture and death threats activists of the Kharkiv Euromaidan Kutyanina Alexander and Sergey Ryapolova. The mayor of Kharkov said that the case against him was fabricated.

Officially Kernes and his guards charged under three articles: part 2 of article 146 of the Criminal code (CC) of Ukraine (“Tortures”) — is punished by restriction of liberty for up to five years or imprisonment for the same term, part 2 of article 127 UK of Ukraine (“Illegal imprisonment or kidnapping”) — shall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of five to ten years; part 1 of article 129 of the criminal code of Ukraine (“Threat by murder”) — shall be punished with arrest for the term up to six months or restraint of liberty for a term up to two years.
