Daniil Lysenko will not be able to participate in the European championship.

Russian high jumper Danil Lysenko suspended indefinitely over alleged violation of anti-doping rules, therefore he will not be able to compete at the European Championships in Berlin. This was reported on the website of the International Association of athletics federations (IAAF).

The IAAF had a case against Lysenko in connection with the violation of the rules of availability (three missed doping tests within 12 months) and imposed a provisional suspension pending investigation. 21-year-old Russian is facing disqualification for a term up to two years.

“Lysenko did not provide information about his whereabouts and could not make it possible doping tests during the extra competitive period”, – is spoken in the message.

“He is guilty. Yes, belonged to the filling of ADAMS, shall we say, superficial. This is my negligence”, – said Lysenko.

Lysenko is a silver medalist of the world championship 2017 in London, as well as the winner of the 2018 world Cup in the room, which was held in the British Birmingham. This season he won stages “Diamond League” in Monaco and Lausanne. In Monaco, the Russian has repeated the best result of the season in the world, breaking the bar at a height of 2.40 m.

European Championships in athletics will be held from 6 to August 12.
