The mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov offers to hold Eurovision song contest-2017 in Odessa. About this he wrote on his page in Facebook.

“Odessa and Odessans congratulations to Jamal on winning the Eurovision song contest! Sure, next year Ukraine will host the Eurovision song contest at a high level. Platform, worthy of such a prestigious competition, may well become our Odessa is a multinational, beautiful, European city with a rich history and cultural traditions! I hope it will be so!” – he noted.

With the proposal to adopt the competition was organised by the mayor of Irpin Vladimir Karplyuk. “Irpen will be ready to host the next Eurovision song contest!… Jamal Ukraine celebrates the talent, voice and deeds. She does not complain, and incredibly hard working. This victory must be the beginning of a spiritual uniting of Ukrainians from all parts of Ukraine and occupied Crimea and occupied East! His song Jamal reminded the world about the tragedy of her people. She reminded the Ukrainians of the Crimea on the national pride of a United Ukraine!” – he wrote on his page in Facebook.

Recall that the Ukrainian singer Jamal took first place in the final of the Eurovision song contest in 2016. In second place – the representative of Australia Demi Them, and the third – Russian singer Sergey Lazarev.

Ukraine has received 534 points 211 from the judges and 323 from the audience. Jamala performed at the Eurovision song contest in 2016 with a song “1944” about the fate of the Crimean Tatars.
