The US President-elect Donald trump called the dismissive attitude of the US towards Israel because of non-use of the veto during the vote for anti-Israeli resolution in the UN. About this trump said on Twitter.

Trump has promised to change the country’s policy towards Israel after the official accession to the position of President on January 20.

“We can no longer afford such a contemptuous and disrespectful attitude toward Israel. Israel was once a very good friend in USA, but not now. The beginning of the end was a terrible agreement with Iran, and now this (UN)! Israel, stay, January 20 soon (the date of the inauguration of the trump – ed.),” said trump.

We cannot continue to let Israel be treated with such total disdain and disrespect. They used to have a great friend in the U. S., but…….

In response to a friendly statement trump the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu thanked President-elect.

“The President-elect trump, I thank You for the warm friendship and unequivocal support for Israel,” the Prime Minister wrote today on Twitter.

As previously reported, trump has accused incumbent Barack Obama of interfering in the transfer of power.

We will remind, on December 23 the UN security Council adopted a resolution demanding to stop the construction of Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories. Of the 15 members of the UN security Council 14, including Ukraine, voted for the resolution and only the United States abstained but did not veto.

The document contains requirements for Israel and Palestine to take steps to prevent acts of violence against civilians, and make an effort to begin to “credible negotiations” on issues related to final status and affiliation of the disputed area.

The Israeli side quite immediately reacted negatively to the results of the vote, including in the Israeli media is spreading a lot of criticism of Ukraine’s position in this situation. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled a visit to Israel, Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman, who had previously planned on 27-28 Dec.
