The decision to extradite Kiev should take until the end of November.

Turkey calls on Ukraine’s extradition of a German citizen. 52-year-old Kemal K. was detained in Ukraine on an arrest warrant from Interpol.

The man lives in Cologne and has dual citizenship. Turkey blames him in two murders. Germany refused to extradite him due to a “serious doubt” in this case.

The man has a business in Cologne, however, married to a Ukrainian and is a frequent visitor to Ukraine in private Affairs. The Prosecutor’s office of Cologne advised him not to travel abroad because of the high probability of arrest for a red Interpol warrant issued by the Turkish law enforcement authorities in 2002. This summer it resumed.

The decision to extradite Kiev should take until the end of November.

In Turkey, Kemal K. was associated with the local Communist party. In 2007 he moved to Germany, where for several months he was arrested for “sufficient suspicion”, which was not confirmed. In 2016 he got the German citizenship.

As reported Корреспондент.netfor the capture of K. Kemal, the Turkish authorities announced a reward of 350 thousand euros.
