PGNiG already transported to Ukraine 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas

The supply of 200 million cubic meters of gas will be carried out in the period October to 1 may 2019.

The Polish gas company PGNiG has signed a new contract for the supply of gas to Ukraine. About it reports a press-service of companies in Wednesday, October 3rd.

It is noted that PGNiG and the Ukrainian company Energy resources of Ukraine (Energy Resources of Ukraine) will transport gas to the Ukrainian gas transportation system operator Ukrtransgaz.

We are talking about 200 million cubic meters of gas. Delivery will be carried out in the period from October PO1 may 2019. Provided that the contractor selection was determined by the best price.

In total, from August 2016 until the end of June of this year, PGNiG was transported to the Ukraine as a whole of 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas.

Recall that in 2017 Ukraine has increased gas imports from Europe by 27% (to 3 billion cubic m.) – up to 14.1 billion cubic meters Ukraine from 26 November 2015 natural gas imports contract with Russia’s Gazprom, buying online exclusively on its Western border.

However, in the first eight months of 2018 Ukraine reduced gas imports by almost 27% – to 2.5 billion cubic meters – to 6.9 billion cubic meters.
